Refund policy

We want every PoochBud customer (and their dog) to feel supported. If your purchase is not the right fit, here is how returns and refunds work.

30-day return window

You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to request a return. After 30 days we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds, except for verified defects covered under warranty.

Condition of returned items

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In unused condition beyond a brief at-home fit check
  • Free of pet hair, saliva, odors, fur stains, and visible wear
  • Returned with original packaging, tags, and inserts where applicable

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on items that have clearly been used by your dog, including beds, blankets, harnesses, or coats that show fur, paw prints, chew marks, or scent.

How to start a return

Email support@poochbud.com with your order number and the reason for return. We will reply within one business day with the return address and a return reference number. Please do not ship items back without contacting us first, as unannounced returns can be delayed in processing.

Who pays for return shipping

If the item arrived damaged, defective, or we shipped the wrong size, PoochBud covers return shipping in full and we will email you a prepaid return label.

If you are returning for any other reason, including change of mind or wrong size ordered, the customer is responsible for return shipping. We recommend using a tracked service so your return is not lost in transit.

International returns

International customers are responsible for return shipping cost and any customs charges incurred on the return. Original shipping costs and any duties already paid on import are non-refundable. To avoid expensive international returns, please review each product's size guide carefully before ordering, and email support@poochbud.com if you are unsure which size to choose.

Refund timing

Once your return is delivered to our warehouse, please allow 3 to 5 business days for inspection. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days after inspection. Your bank or card issuer may take an additional few days to display the credit.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange a size or color is to place a new order for the correct item and return the original for a refund. This avoids holding inventory while paperwork moves and gets the right item to your dog sooner.

Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect within the 30-day window, email support@poochbud.com with your order number and clear photos showing the issue. We will replace the item at no cost or issue a full refund, your choice. No return shipment is required in most defect cases.

Order cancellation

Orders enter fulfillment within 1 to 2 business days. If you need to cancel or change an order, email us within 12 hours of placing it and we will do our best to catch it before it ships. Once an order has shipped, it must be processed as a return upon arrival.

Items not eligible for return

  • Items marked Final Sale at the time of purchase
  • Gift cards
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Items returned in clearly used or chewed condition
  • Toys and chews that have been opened or played with
